Bank of India is running away from providing detail of the staff and action regarding the deduction of salary of the strikers

 



CPIO may provide the following information point wise as follows.

1-I had visited the branch office Mirzapur of Bank of India on 16th and 17th December 2021, the door was locked and no feedback regarding the strike was available. Neighbours told me that bank will open on Monday.

Please provide the feedback like post and designation of the staffs of Bank of India who had given permission to close the branch to concerned branch officer.

2-Apex court of India had categorically passed the order no work no pay

"Nobody could be directed to claim wages for the period that he remained absent without leave or without justification." The Supreme Court has observed that the principle of 'No Work No Pay' can be applied when the employee was not kept away from work by any order of the employer. The bench comprising Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Navin Sinha, reiterated the settled principle that nobody could be directed to claim wages for the period that he remained absent without leave or without justification.

Please provide the INFORMATION regarding the staffs of the branch who were paid salary and who were not paid because they went on strike.

3-Please provide the detail of the staff those were on the leave on on 16th and 17th December 2021.

4-Please provide the reason of keeping the branch office gate closed without a notice on the board/gate regarding the strikes as caused great hardships to customers cum visitors.

5-Provide the details of staffs at the branch office Mirzapur went on strike voluntarily and also those were coerced to go on strike.

You ought to provide the copy of the competent authority who advised the deduction of the salary of the strikers. In wide public interest, such landmark decisions must be in the public domain.

  2. It is quite obvious that there is cryptic and mysterious dealings in the banking sector of the Government of India and in such practices there is complete loss of common citizens of this country which must be curbed but not feasible in this era of corruption.
