Yesterday i.e. 31 Dec 2021, aggrieved farmers blocked the road at Kalwari cross road. A tractor laden with paddy was parked and jammed. Vehicles parked diagonally on the road led to long queues of vehicles on both the sides of Mirzapur-Ghorawal link road and Lalganj-Kalwari link road. The farmers also raised slogans demanding the purchase of paddy.बल्कि कलवारी चौराहे पर धान लदा ट्रैक्टर खड़ा करके जाम लगा दिया। सड़क पर आड़े-तिरछे खड़े वाहनों से मिर्जापुर-घोरावल संपर्क मार्ग व लालगंज- कलवारी संपर्क मार्ग पर दोनों तरफ वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं। किसानों ने धान की खरीदारी की मांग को लेकर नारेबाजी भी की।The farmers say that the token was received with great effort. But due to non-procurement of paddy at the purchasing center, all the hard work seems to be getting washed away. The farmers said that if the paddy is not procured, the token will be cancelled. On the other hand, on the information of the jam, the station in-charge Madihan Vijay Pratap Singh reached the spot along with the team force. Tried to convince the farmers, but the farmers were not ready to move off the road. The farmers remained adamant on the demand to call the Deputy District Magistrate Madihan on the spot. Naib Tehsildar Bindu Nandan Singh, who arrived on the instructions of the Deputy District Magistrate, was engaged in resolving the matter after talking to the farmers. In this regard, Marketing Officer Kunwar Bahadur Singh said that due to the strike of the organisation, paddy is not being procured at the purchasing centre. किसानों का कहना है कि बड़ी ही मशक्कत से टोकन मिला था। लेकिन क्रय केंद्र पर धान खरीद न होने से पूरी मेहनत पर पानी फिरता दिख रहा है। किसानों का कहना था कि यदि धान की खरीद नहीं हुई तो टोकन निरस्त हो जाएगा। उधर, जाम की सूचना पर थाना प्रभारी मड़िहान विजय प्रताप सिंह दल बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे। किसानों को समझाने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन किसान सड़क से हटने को तैयार नहीं हुए। किसान उप जिलाधिकारी मड़िहान को मौके पर बुलाने की मांग पर अड़े रहे। उप जिलाधिकारी के निर्देश पर पहुंचे नायब तहसीलदार बिंदु नंदन सिंह किसानों से बात कर मामला निपटाने में लगे रहे। इस संबंध में विपणन अधिकारी कुंवर बहादुर सिंह ने बताया कि संगठन के हड़ताल के चलते क्रय केंद्र पर धान की खरीद नहीं की जा रही है।
