Financial Services (Banking Division) >> Credit/Debit/ATM Cards Related >> ATM/Credit Card Frauds

Bank : State Bank of India
Branch / Name of Bank and Branch : City Branch of SBI District Mirzapur
Account Number : 34645721675
-----------------------
Yesterday, the applicant again made an attempt to make payment for purchased medicine but it failed because OTP was not sent by State Bank of India on the registered mobile number of the applicant. During internet banking no such problems arise. Branch is incompetent to understand the contents of grievance. SBI LHO BHUBNESWAR on 21/06/2022 approved Report remarks The OTP for the said transaction appears to be shared as per the log report. The details of the SMS log report sent to the customer. Thus it appears that the credential was shared with the 3rd party, which comes under customer negligence for which the Bank is not liable. Hence the complaint may be treated as dealt with and closed.
The details of the SMS log report sent to the customer.
We have informed customer regarding the card activation process as the card held with the customer is inactive after the activation process all the services related to the debit card will resume.
I want to draw the kind attention of the accountable staff of the State Bank of India to the screen shot taken from the internet banking of the applicant which is categorically showing that ATM card issued to the applicant is active so there is no need to initiate the process of activation because process of activation has been already carried out by the applicant and the branch manager city branch of the State Bank of India district Mirzapur only misleading the not only applicant but the senior rank officers of the State Bank of India.

  1. Think about the gravity of the situation that the entire customer care of the State Bank is saying that the ATM card is activated and showing active but the branch manager is saying that the ATM card is inactive and redressing the grievances arbitrarily which is the root cause of numerous grievances are being submitted by the applicant. Multiple grivances on the same subject is being submitted because of the incompetence of the branch manager of the city branch of the State Bank of India district Mirzapur
