* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the submitted RTI application, it is quite obvious that the appellant submitted the RTI application on the 4th March 2024 which was forwarded by the nodal officer to the concerned public information officer on 18th April 2024. It is 29th April 2024 today but the concerned public information officer did not provide any information to the appellant. Moreover, it is noticeable that the nodal officer took more than one month to forward the RTI application to the concerned public information officer which is a mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005.

It is quite obvious that the matter concerns the correct feeding of the entries on the RTI portal of the government of Uttar Pradesh by the nodal officer but it is most unfortunate nodal officer is running away from providing this information through the public information officer to the information seeker. That is why He did not forward the RTI application to the concerned public information officer timely. Whether such cryptic and mysterious dealings of the nodal officer is not lowering the dignity of the office of Superintendent of police district Mirzapur.

Here this question arises: why is the information fed on the RTI portal of the government of Uttar Pradesh not updated timely? As far as my knowledge is concerned they have never updated the information on the portal feed initially which reflects mismanagement in the working of the nodal officer. 

Think about the gravity of the situation, the portal which has been made up for providing information to the citizens itself reflecting the incorrect information regarding the public information officer, nodal officer and the first appellate authority.

The right to Information Act 2005 was introduced by the government of India during the regime of Congress party to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities so that growing corruption in the working of the public authorities could be controlled. 

This is a humble request of the appellant to the first appellate authority to direct the public information officer to provide information to the appellant at the earliest and take disciplinary action against the public information officer for procrastinating in providing information to the appellant.
