Mobile number and email were sought for inclusion of public authorities in the UP RTI online portal. Thereafter, the user ID and password of the nodal officer were sent to the email of the concerned public authorities. It is the responsibility of the Nodal Officer to create user ID and password of all the First Appellate Authority and Public Information Officers working and posted in their public authority. Therefore, the work of the Administrative Reforms Department is only to generate the user ID and password of the nodal officer.

If the government has instructed them then it is their obligatory duty to abide by the order of the government. Public staff should always oblige each direction of the government because government pay them salary for their services. Undoubtedly it is a mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005 because they are not providing exact information to the information seekers which must be available in the public domain.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows that Uttar Pradesh state information commission or any other information commission in imposes the pecuniary penalty on the wrongdoer public information officers by name not by post so it is must to feed the name mobile number emails on the online RTI portal of the Government so that such information may be easily accessible.
ReplyDeleteIf the information available on the RTI portal of the Government is not correct then incredibility of the portal will increase and under such circumstances there will be bad reputation of the portal among the citizenry. Think about the gravity of situation the information regarding the public information officer first appellate authority and nodal officer are incorrect on the portal.
