Prayer or Relief Sought From the following current status of the submitted RTI application under subsection 1 of section 6 of the right to Information Act 2005, It is quite obvious that the appellant submitted RTI application on 5th June 2023 which was transferred to the office of the project director, Mirzapur through the public information officer/district development officer Mirzapur on 6th June 2023 to provide the information to the information seeker. It is 8th November 2023 today which implies that 5 months passed and concerned public information officer did not provide any information to the information seeker. Here it is quite obvious that public information officer/ district development officer, Mirzapur violated the subsection 1 of Section 7 of the right to Information Act 2005. Think about the anarchy in the working of the public information officer in the office of the chief development officer Mirzapur who threw the RTI application of the applicant into the dustbin.
What can be expected from the public information officer who is habitual to break the law of the land which means there is no difference between a criminal who is also a lawbreaker and a question mark of the society.
I talked three times to DDO Mirzapur on his CUG Mobile number and last time he said that information has been uploaded on the portal, but it proved false. Honourable Sir, you may check the current status of the RTI application in which no information has been uploaded by the DDO Mirzapur. The following status shows that DDO Mirzapur is not only a liar but also a great violator of the provisions of the Right to Information Act 2005. Here the appellant is seeking information from the public information officer concerning the Prime Minister Awas and chief minister Awas made in the village panchayat-Sakraudi in the development block Jamalpur as they have not made a single Awas in the village panchayat for 5 years which is the root cause they are running away from providing information to the information seeker which causes aggrieved to the appellant.
Right to Information Act 2005 was introduced by the Government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities but how the transparency and accountability will be ensured if the public information officers will not provide information to the information seekers to conceal the information of corruption. Think about the gravity of situation our Prime Minister Mr Narendra Damodar Das Modi had promised to the citizens during the election campaign that he will provide all the poor Prime Minister Awas up to 2022. While the factual position is that neither a single Prime Minister Awas nor a chief minister Awas has been made in the concerned gram panchayat. Which is the root cause they are running away from providing information to the appellant.
Please direct public information officer to provide the information to the appellant and take action against the public information officer by initiating disciplinary proceedings against him for violating subsection one of Section 7 of the right to Information Act 2005.
