* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the submitted RTI application, it is quite obvious that RTI application was transferred to the concerned public information officer which means assistant police commissioner Phoolpur on 1st January 2024 and this RTI application was received in the office of public information officer of commissioner of police district-Prayagraj on 30th December 2023 and it is 2nd February 2024 which means stipulated 30 days to provide information expired thus concerned public information officer which means assistant police commissioner Phoolpur district-Prayagraj violated subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005.

The right to information act 2005 was brought up by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities so that growing corruption in the various departments of the government of India and states might be curbed, but it is most unfortunate that because of corruption in the working of public authorities public information officers are not providing information to the information seekers which is a mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005. Which is the root cause this August act did not achieve its objective even after 18 years since the date of implementation of right to information act 2005.
It seems that the Assistant Commissioner of police circle-Phoolpur has been habitual not to provide information to the information seekers, quite obvious from his cryptic denials of information as usual in the current matter. I think that honesty must also be checked of the public personnel before appointing them on public posts so that they must deliver the public services with transparency and accountability.
Think about the gravity of the situation three letters were dispatched on the address of the appellant by enclosing the one letter and thus closed 3 RTI applications arbitrarily which reflects anarchy in the working of the assistant commissioner Phoolpur.
This is a humble request to direct assistant commissioner of police Phoolpur to provide the information to the appellant and also initiate disciplinary proceedings against assistant commissioner of police for violating the subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005.
