To

Most respected chief information commissioner government of Uttar Pradesh Lucknow

Subject- Public information officer made the mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005 by not entertaining application in more than two and half months.

Short submissions of the appellant are as follows.

1-From the status of the following RTI application, it is quite obvious that nodal officer transferred the rti application to the concerned public information officer on 26th October 2023 which means two and half months passed but, the concerned public information officer did not provide any information to the appellant which is a mockery of the provisions of right to information act 2005.

2- Most respected sir, please take a glance of the submitted RTI application by the appellant.

Registration Number SSPPY/R/2023/60503 Name Yogi M P Singh Date of Filing 25/10/2023 Status REQUEST FORWARDED TO PIO as on 26/10/2023 Details of PIO :- Telephone Number:- 9454401281, Email Id:- co-phoolpur.ah@nic.in Note :- You are advised to contact the above mentioned officer for further details.

3-The Right to Information act 2005 was introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities but it seems that after 18 years it could not obtain its destination because of the rampant corruption in the working of public authorities in the government of India and states. Think about the gravity of the situation, in two and half months the public information officer in Prayagraj police had no time to entertain the RTI application showing insolence of the public information officer to the provisions of right to information act 2005.

4-Undoubtedly democracy requires informed citizenry and for that purpose our government introduced the right to information act 2005 but because of corruption in the working of the public departments no information is being provided to the citizens in the state which is the root cause transparency act has zero impact in curbing the corruption from government departments.

5-This is a humble request of the appellant to the most respected Sir to direct the public information officer to provide information to the appellant as well as initiate disciplinary proceedings and impose pecuniary penalty of Rs.25000 against the public information officer for violating the subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005.

8- Please provide the action taken by the police personnel in MauAima police station against illegal liquor business who are selling liquor without licence and number of first information reports registered by the police under narcotics act.

This is a humble request of your applicant to you Hon'ble Sir that how can it be justified to withhold public services arbitrarily and promote anarchy, lawlessness, and chaos arbitrarily by making the mockery of law of land? There is need of the hour to take harsh steps against the wrongdoer to win the confidence of citizenry and strengthen the democratic values for healthy and prosperous democracy. For this, your appellant shall ever pray for you, Hon’ble Sir.
