Nodal Officer Details Name SANDEEP KUMAR VERMA Telephone Number 9453047544 Email-ID rtipuvvnl@gmail.com From the status of the RTI application it is obvious that RTI application was submitted by the information seeker on 28th June 2023 which was forwarded by the nodal officer on the first July 2023 but it is most unfortunate that concerned public information officer did not provide any information to the information seeker which is a mockery of the provisions of the right to information act 2005. Here it is evident that two months passed and the public information officer did not entertain any communication with the information seeker which is showing the laxity on the part of the public information officer who violated the subsection one of section 7 of the right to information act 2005. Undoubtedly the matter concerns the deep rooted corruption which is the root cause the public information officer is running away from providing the information to the information seeker. Right to information act 2005 Was introduced by the government of India to promote the transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities but because of corruption in the government machinery its provisions are being violated by the government staff frequently. During the Congress government at the centre it was introduced unfortunately during the Bhartiya Janta Party government it was made impotent by diluting its provisions which is obvious from the working style of the government both at centre and in the state. It is quite obvious that executive engineer electricity distribution division 2nd is not providing information because this information is under the custody of his senior rank officer and superintending engineer is not the public information officer and junior rank officer executive engineer is the public information officer who has no courage to ask her information from the senior rank officer and the senior rank officer is afraid of being exposed in the public domain if the information will be provided by them. It has been evident that our public staff become handicapped before the corruption and they are not providing information because of corruption in the developmental activities being carried out by the department.
