* Prayer or Relief Sought From the following status of the RTI application it is quite obvious that the appellant submitted RTI application on 26th December 2023 which was forwarded by the nodal officer to concerned public information officer on 28th December 2023 and it is 2nd February 2024 which means more than 30 days passed but concerned public information officer did not entertain RTI application this is a violation of subsection 1 of section 7 of the right to information act 2005.

It seems that notification issued by the government of Uttar Pradesh regarding the regularisation of daily wages staff is only a showpiece so the concerned public information officer is not providing any information concerning regularisation. Here this question arises that if the government was not really interested to regularise the daily wage staff then what was the need to issue the notification because this notification only misled the unemployed people working in various departments of the government as daily wage staff.
The Right to Information Act 2005 was introduced by the government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities but it could not achieve its objective in 18 years because of the rampant corruption in the working of public authorities in the government.
It is quite obvious that there is no fear of penal action in the mind of the public information officer working in the office of Lucknow Development Authority because of the corruption in the government. Our public staff do not like transparency and accountability in their working because of the corruption in their working and if the government is really interested to curb the corruption in the government machinery then our accountable public functionary must pursue the provisions of the right to information act instead of diluting its provisions.
The right to information act 2005 is the power vested to the citizens of the country provided by the government to the citizens through proper legislation but it is quite obvious that corrupt government functionaries do not like this provision and hatch conspiracy to dilute it, this is the root cause, public information officers inspired by such corrupt public functionaries, withhold information from Information Seekers.
This is a humble request of the appellant to the first appellate authority to direct the public information officer to provide the information to the appellant and also initiate disciplinary proceedings against the public information officer for violating the provisions of the right information act 2005 against the public information officer.
