Jigna. A resident of Murajpur village in the Jigna police station area became a victim of fraud of Rs 5,72,220. The victim has lodged a complaint in Jigna police station accusing two people of cheating. Jigna police are investigating the case. According to the complaint, a youth from a village in Meja police station area of Prayagraj came to Bindra Prasad Bind in Bihasda Kala Murajpur of Jigna police station area on March 5. Posing as a postman, he gave a paper and got it signed. Meanwhile, the mobile of Bindra Prasad was also sought. It is alleged that during the same time, he ported the mobile SIM in his name to another company. Two days later, the mobile of Bindra was switched off. On March 8 and 9, both of them transferred Rs 5,72,220 from account of Bindra Prasad to their respective accounts. The victim came to know about it on March 11. The victim, Bindra Prasad, lodged a complaint at Jigna police station against two persons for fraudulently usurping money. Jigna police are investigating the case of this fraud. Police Station Chief Inspector Chandra Prakash Pandey said that a complaint has been received in the cyber cell. The matter is under investigation. संवाद
Public information officer in the office of Superintendent of Police Mirzapur must provide the following information in view of aforementioned reference point wise as follows.
1- Public information officer must provide the total number of cases registered by the Jagna police station concerning cyber fraud under appropriate IT act and criminal procedure code.
2- Please provide feedback if the first information report has been registered by the police and if not registered provide its reason.
3- Please provide the section of the criminal procedure code in which investigation is carried out by the investigation officer if a first information report is not registered by the police in the matter of cyber fraud.
4- Please provide the provision of the criminal procedure code under which an investigation officer investigates a case that encroaches the fundamental duty /civil rights of the citizens of this country.
5- Please provide the provisions of law which mandates consent of an individual to make inquiry under article 51 A of the Constitution of India concerning the working of the police. Whether police in the state are not accountable to the citizens in the state and people cannot make inquiries regarding the working of the police.
