It is quite obvious from the above status the appellant submitted the application on 25th September 2023 and it is 11th December 2023 today which means more than 3 months pause but sub divisional magistrate Lalganj and his public information officer did not provide information to the information seeker which is a mockery of the provisions of the right to Information Act 2005 because he had to provide the information to the appellant within stipulated 30 days as prescribed under subsection 1 of Section 7 of the right to information act 2005.
They are not providing death certificate because village development officer is stating in its representation which means report submitted on the Jansunwai portal and public grievance portal that office of the block development officer Haliya did not receive the representation of the appellant which was submitted before the sub divisional magistrate Lalganj.
Right to Information Act 2005 was introduced by the Government of India to promote transparency and accountability in the working of the public authorities so that the rampant corruption in the government offices maybe curbed but it seems that corruption has overshadowed the provisions of right to Information Act 2005 quite obvious from denial of information by the public staff on the large scale.
There is huge irregularities in processing the applications concerning inheritance which is the root cause they are running away from providing the death certificate of the father of the appellant which is reflecting anarchy in the working of the sub divisional magistrate Lalganj district Mirzapur.
Here following Latin maxim is quite relevant must be taken perusal by the concerned staff of the government. Force without justice is tyranny and justice without force is impotent.
This is a humble request to the first appellate authority to direct the public information officer to provide the information to the appellant as well as disciplinary proceedings must be initiated against the public information officer for violating the provisions of the right to Information Act 2005.
