The complaint thus focusses on five key demands that aim to address these issues and ensure that the process is fair and understandable for all users.
These demands invoke Article 51A of the Constitution of India (Fundamental Duties), underscoring the importance of accountability in public services.
Specifically, they emphasise the consumer’s right to reason and access to information, advocating for clearer communication and a more user-friendly experience in the booking process.
The underlying goal is to promote a culture of transparency that not only respects consumer rights but also enhances the overall trust in governmental and public sector operations related to essential utilities.

1. The Right to Reason: How Did We Exhaust the Quota?

The primary demand is simple: Give the reason for the error.

  • How exactly has the consumer exhausted the monthly quota of $28.4 \text{ KGs}$?
  • This figure is precisely two standard $14.2 \text{ KG}$ domestic cylinders. The complainant asserts that the administrative system has an “obligatory duty” to offer this breakdown. This ensures that the action is not arbitrary and helps resolve booking problems.

2. Full Booking Record Disclosure

The total number of refill deliveries made to the applicant by the agency (Asmita Gas Service) is missing. This is a critical piece of information. The consumer has demanded a full and verifiable history to cross-check against the claim of an exhausted quota. Resolving LPG booking issues relies on such transparency.

3. Why Did Booking History Disappear?

The complainant highlights that the total booking record was previously accessible. However, it is now missing. This raises concerns and impacts consumers’ ability to track their consumption through the Indian Oil Corporation Limited website and app. To resolve LPG booking issues, it is crucial for such information to remain visible.

  1. The demand of the gas cylinder is based on its consumption. The message displaying on the screen of the computer that your month quota has been exhausted. This is a month of wedding parties and large number of wedding are taking place and so black marketing of domestic gas cylinders is taking place on the large scale.
